Mary Anne Holls Bowen, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Mary Anne Bowen’s love of animals has been life-long and she has been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to advocate for them in two careers, first in policy and law-making and now in the practice of medicine.

She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor in Philosophy and Ethics and after several years of involvement with animal welfare causes both in the US and abroad resolved that she wanted to devote her life to medicine. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical training at the University of Florida. Dr. Bowen has completed additional training in Pain Management and Palliative Care, as well as Fear Free Medicine, and is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Medical Acupuncture Certification through Curacore.

Dr. Bowen cherishes her role in the relationships she cultivates with her patients and their families and it’s been a privilege to negotiate complicated and sensitive medical and emotional needs. She loves pain and chronic disease management, especially in service to our sweet patients living with arthritis and cancer. Dr. Bowen’s greatest love, however, is her geriatric patients and she relishes the gains she can make with even conservative interventions to bring comfort and quality of life.

She lives in Winter Park with her saint of a husband and family of young (at heart) rescue dogs.
